Qualification: Professor:
A. As Associate Professor in the subject concerned for three years in the recognized medical college.
B. Minimum of four research publications in indexed / national journals as first author.
Or
Essential:
1. As reader/Associate Professor in the concerned Department for four years in a recognized medical college.
Desirable:
1. Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal and one research publication in international journal.
A. As Assistant Professor in the concerned subject for four years in the recognized medical college.
B. Minimum of two research publications in indexed / national journals as first author.
Or
Essential:
1. As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Department for
Five years in a recognized medical college.
Desirable:
1. Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal.
Appointments will be given initially for a period of 1 year which may be extendable upto 3 years.
63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay:
Associate Professor: Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 with higher initial of Rs. 23250 + Grade pay Rs. 8000.
Sr. Resident: Consolidated pay of Rs. 24,360/-
In addition to the above the rates of Non Practicing pay for the medical teachers would be as follows: -
A) For Professor /Associate Professor -25% of (Basic Pay& Grade pay) + Rs 10,000 per month.
B) For Assistant Professor/ Demonstrator / Tutor-25% of (Basic Pay & Grade Pay) + Rs.8,000 per month.
Applicants presently working in Central / State Govt. will be offered pay protection as per rule.
1 Complete application in all respects and signed by the candidate should reach to the Registrar, The West Bengal University of Health Sciences,DD-36,Sector 1,Salt lake city, Kolkata – 700 064 within 03.03.2010.
2. The envelope should be super-scribed with the post and discipline applied for.
3. Separate applications should be sent, if the candidate is applying for more than one post.
4. Self attested photocopies of the certificates of educational & testimonials showing experience etc. should be attached with the application.
5. Incomplete applications will be rejected without any intimation to the candidate.
6. Employees of Government or semi Government should apply through proper channel. They may send an advance copy in time.
7. No objection certificate should be submitted from the Employer during interview.
8. No TA/DA is permissible if called for interview.
9. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate
for being called for interview.
10. The posts is/are full time & private practice of any kind is prohibited.
11. Reservation of posts as per rule of Government of West Bengal.
12. The application form will be available in the Web site: www.thewbuhs.in also from the University on payment of Rs. 20/- per application form.
13. The decision of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences is final.
14. Appointees are required to serve for a probationary period of 2 years.
15. Three months notice needs to be served form either side before termination of service.
16. The application forms are to be submitted with a non refundable demand draft of Rs 500/- for General candidate & Rs 250/- for SC & ST candidates payable to “the West Bengal University of Health Sciences” at Kolkata.17.
