Recruitment of Graduate Engineers

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN), a Government of Rajasthan
Undertaking, is mainly engaged in the field of Generation of Electricity in the State of
Rajasthan.  Looking for promising & energetic Graduate Engineers with excellent academic record who arewilling to join RVUN and its subsidiary companies as
Junior Engineer-I for building
their own bright career. RVUN offers very good remuneration revised on the lines of
Central 6th Pay Commission, apart from attractive Incentives and facilities, in
comparison to similar Power Utilities in India.
Anticipated vacancies (including backlog vacancies) :-
(a) Junior Engineer-I (Electrical) - 137 vacancies
(b) Junior Engineer-I (Mechanical) - 136 vacancies
(c) Junior Engineer-I (Control & Instrumentation) - 24 vacancies
(d) Junior Engineer-I (Civil) - 35 vacancies
(e) Junior Engineer-I (Fire Fighting) - 19 vacancies


Vacancies are reserved for candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled
Tribes, Other Backward Classes/ Backward Classes (including the persons
belonging to Special Backward Classes) category candidates of Non-creamy
layer, Female, Widow and Physically Handicapped categories as per the
relevant rules. Posts are separately reserved for SC/ST category candidates
who are bonafide resident of Banswara District (Tribal Sub Plan Area) of
Rajasthan.
Qualification (as on 17.3.2010) :-
Candidates must hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a
University established by Law in India or a Degree of a foreign University or
institution, declared by the competent authority equivalent to a Degree in
Engineering of a University established by Law in India, on the 17th March,2010.
(i) JEn-I(Electrical) : Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power Systems
& High Voltage/ Power Plant Engineering
(ii) JEn-I (Mechanical) : Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering/
Production & Industrial Engineering/ Thermal
Engineering/ Mechanical & Automation/
Power Plant Engineering
(iii) JEn-I (Control & Electronics/ Electronics & Tele- Communication/
Instrumentation): Electronics & Communication/ Electronics &
Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Controls/
Electronics & Power/ Power Electronics/
Industrial Electronics.
(iv) JEn-I (Civil) : Civil Engineering.
(v) JEn-I(Fire Fighting): Fire Fighting Engineering.
Candidates must possess knowledge of ‘Hindi’ written in ‘Devnagri script’.
Age (as on 17.3.2010) :-
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must have not
attained the age of 35 years as on 17th March, 2010.
 Remuneration :-
Candidates selected will be initially engaged as “Probationer-Trainee” for a
period of two (2) years and during the period of probation-training, they will
be paid fixed remuneration at the rate of Rs.10,000/- per month. After
successful completion of probation-training they will be fixed in the regular
pay scale of Junior Engineer-I in Running Pay Band of Rs. 9,300-34,800
with Grade Pay of Rs. 3,200/- i.e. at initial Basic pay of Rs. 12,500/-
& other allowances, including Generation based incentive, as per rules.
Facility of residential accommodation in the residential colonies of Company
(subject to availability) and conveyance facility between the colony and
Power Station may also be provided as per rules.
General Conditions :-
(1) A candidate who has more than two children on or after 1.6.2002 is not
eligible for appointment, provided that the candidate having more than
two children is not deemed to be disqualified for appointment so long as
the number of children he/ she has on 1st June, 2002, does not increase.
However, if a candidate has only one child from earlier delivery but more
than one child are born out of a single subsequent delivery, the children
so born are deemed to be one entity while counting the total number of
children.
7. Application Fee :-
Unreserved category and OBC/BC (including the persons belonging to SBC)
category candidates should send ‘Demand Draft of Rs 100/-‘ as nonrefundable
application fee and the SC/ ST and Physically Handicapped
category candidates should send ‘Demand Draft of Rs. 50/-, favoring
“Sr.AO(EA/Cash), RVUN, Jaipur”, payable at ‘Jaipur’. The Demand
Draft must be purchased on or after the date of opening of the Online
Registration i.e. from 03/03/2010 to the date of close of the Online
Registration i.e. upto 17/03/2010.
 (ii) The printout of the system generated application form, alongwith documents
mentioned above, should be sent by “Ordinary Post” only in a closed envelope.
He/ She should write “Application for the post of Junior Engineer-I in
RVUN- 2010” and the “System Generated Registration Number” on the top
of the envelope and should send the envelope, at the following address:-
