RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT WIRELESS OPERATOR/
TELE-PRINTER OPERATOR (HEAD CONSTABLE) IN DELHI POLICE-2010
Applications from Indian nationals are invited to fill up 603 vacancies of Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator (Head Constable) in Delhi Police in the pay scale of PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- & other allowances as admissible. Recruitment will be held at Delhi for which candidates fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply:-

2. CLOSING DATE:
The last date of submission of application form will be 27.02.2010.
3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
a) NATIONALITY: Applicant should be a bonafide citizen of India.
b) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
(i) Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects at the time of filling up of the application form.
OR
National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-operator Electronic Communication System at the time of filling up of the application form.
(ii) Speed in English typing-30 w.p.m. alongwith working knowledge of computers.
c) AGE : 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2010
4. STANDARD OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT
HEIGHT:
(i) Male candidates: 170 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K (Candidates claiming this relaxation would have to produce a certificate to this effect (Hill area certificate) from the competent authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test)
(ii) Female candidates: 157 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas for which certificates as above (Hill area certificate) will be produced.
(II) CHEST: (Male Candidates)
Minimum 81 cms to 85 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas for which certificates as above (Hill area certificate) will be produced.
Note:- For all candidates minimum expansion has to be 4 cms, failing which he will be disqualified.
5. MEDICAL STANDARD
The candidates should be of sound health, free from disease, defect or deformity. Better eye 6/6 without glasses. Worse eye 6/36 corrected with glasses 6/9 or 6/12 without glasses (both eyes). The candidate should be free from colour blindness. No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.

7. MODE OF FILLING UP OF APPLICATION FORMS

iii) A Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque of Rs. 100/- should be attached as fee in favour of DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (payable at Delhi) which should be valid for six months.
Duly filled-in application forms alongwith Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque should be sent through ordinary post to “Post Box No. 8020,” and write on the top of the envelope “Application for the post of Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator (Head Constable)-2010”.
Note: Under the Recruitment Scheme, no documents alongwith application form are required to be sent and the information given by the candidate will be presumed to be correct. To seek fee exemption of Rs. 100/-, the SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates needs to attach an attested copy of caste certificate/discharge book.
8. (A) PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST FOR MALE CANDIDATE (QUALIFYING)
i) 1600 mtrs. Race 07 minutes (Qualifying)
Those who qualify in the race will further appear in the following tests:
ii) Long Jump 12½ feet (To be achieved in any one of the three chance
(12' 6") that will be given)
iii) High jump 3½ feet (3'6") (-do-)
Note:- There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump, high jump.
PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST FOR MALE DEPARTMENTAL AND EX-SERVICEMAN CANDIDATES (AGE-WISE) WILL BE AS UNDER:-
i) Race - 1600 metres (Qualifying):-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 08 minutes
From the age of 40 years and above 09 minutes
ii) Long jump:-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 11½ feet (11' 6'')
(qualifying in three chances)
From the age of 40 years and above 10½ feet (10' 6'')
(qualifying in three chances)
iii) High jump:-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 3¼ feet (3' 3'')
(qualifying in three chances)
From the age of 40 years and above 03 feet
(qualifying in three chances)
Note:- There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump, high jump.
(B) PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST FOR FEMALE CANDIDATE (QUALIFYING)
i) 800 metres Race 05 minutes (Qualifying)
Those who qualify in the race will further appear in the following tests :
ii) Long jump 09 feet (To be achieved in any one of the three chances that will be given)
iii) High jump 03 feet (-do-)
Note:- There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump, high jump.
PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST FOR FEMALE DEPARTMENTAL CANDIDATES (AGE-WISE) WILL BE AS UNDER:-
i) Race - 800 metres (Qualifying):-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 06 minutes
From the age of 40 years and above 07 minutes
ii) Long jump:-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 8 feet (qualifying in three chances)
From the age of 40 years and above 07 feet (qualifying in three chances)
iii) High jump:-
Age-wise
From the age of above 30 & upto 40 years 2½ feet (2'6'')
(qualifying in three chances)
From the age of 40 years and above 2¼ feet (2'3'')
(qualifying in three chances)
Note:- There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump, high jump.
9. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES/ DOCUMENTS
All the original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, hill area, NOC/ discharge certificate (in case of Ex-Serviceman), sports certificate, proof to avail age relaxation as a widow/divorced/judicially separated woman, would be checked at the time of typing test. The candidates will also be required to submit attested photo copies of all the documents/certificates.
10. WRITTEN TEST
All candidates, who qualify the physical endurance & measurement tests, shall be put through a written test. The written test will of one and half hour (1½ ) duration. The question paper shall be of objective type which shall carry 90 marks and will include questions on General Knowledge (20 marks), General Science (25 marks), Mathematics (25 marks) and Reasoning (20 marks). The paper shall be in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.
11. TRADE TEST AND TYPING TEST
Five (05) times the number of vacancies in each category i.e. General/OBC/
SC/ST & Ex-Servicemen in their respective category both for departmental candidates and open market category, in order of merit, will qualify for the trade test.
TRADE TEST: The trade test shall be compulsory for candidates to be eligible for appearing in the typing test. This test will be taken in the form of reading and dictation. The dictation, both in Hindi and English languages, will be given to the candidates in groups.
The reading test will require each candidate to read a passage from the given text both in Hindi and English.
TYPING TEST: The candidates who qualify the trade test will be required to appear for a typing test on computer/typewriter in English language which will be compulsory. The typing test shall be of 10 minutes duration and will carry maximum 10 marks. The candidates will be allotted marks according to speed achieved in the typing test.
